What Is The Session About?

Learn about the evolution of Singapore Pools Pte Ltd (SPPL) workplace learning journey, focusing on integrating technology to drive impactful outcomes. 
 

  1. Embark on a tour to Singapore Pools (SPPL) Innvoation Hub: Offers participants a firsthand experience of SPPL's innovative learning environment, showcasing the various technological initiatives undertaken by the organisation to enhance work and processes. 
  2. Sharing of SPPL Workplace Learning Initiatives: Observe the journey of SPPL's workplace learning initiatives, emphasizing the strategic adoption of technology to address organisational challenges and drive positive outcomes. 
  3. Showcase of Technology Adoption: Provides examples of SPPL's technology adoption, highlighting the journey from conceptualisation to implementation and showcasing how technology has been leveraged to improve learning experiences and achieve tangible results.

 


What Does The Session Cover?

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
 

Identify how technological advancements are transforming work tasks and processes and the impact and implications for workplace learning
Identify the critical success factors that enabled self-initiated workplace learning

Who Is It Suitable For?

  • Adult Education: Individuals who are involved in learning design, curriculum development, learning facilitation, assessment of learning competence, learning technology integration and/or providing consultancy and advisory services to drive business performance.
  • Learning Management: Individuals who are involved in management and support of learning programmes, systems and technology management and implementation, quality assurance of learning programmes and/or driving business development.

Amy Tan (Ms)

Amy Tan (Ms)

Partnerships Manager | Singapore Pools Academy

Amy Tan has a keen interest in people matters and believes the key to success is the coming together of diverse minds and coordinated actions to solve the greatest business challenges. Amy brings with her a strong background in human resources and learning & development, supporting leaders and the organisation, especially in people and culture change.

As the Partnerships Manager, she focuses on reaching out to clients in social service organisations and charities with innovative learning solutions to help drive capabilities development.

In her role, she also supports the Academy in building continuous process improvements into day-to-day operations. While doing so, she learnt about Microsoft Power Automate and its capabilities in automating business processes.The experience led her to develop and facilitate the innovate workshop, to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to build automated workflows using Power Automate, and post-workshop coaching to enable them to apply what they learnt to real work scenarios.

In addition, Amy facilitates the undergraduate internship learning journey to provide young talents with unique real-world experiences across business functions in Singapore Pools.

Jene Chu believes in the ability of people to realise their full potential, and that when we collaborate, we perform even better. Jene offers coaching, training, and consulting services in Design Thinking, making ideas tangible as quickly as possible. She is a LUMA Institute alumni and adopts the LUMA System of Innovation to help individuals become confident problem solvers and teams collaborate for impactful solutions. She believes that Design Sprints is a game-changing new tool that allows organisations to see results in a very short amount of time. The process generally begins with a brief consultation to unpack your challenges in a problem framing workshop followed by a sprint. Jene had held customer experience, learning and development, and corporate strategiy positions in the retail and financial services sectors. 

She has a proven track record of establishing a retail academy and advocating for future-ready skills like human-centered design, data analytics, and agile. She has trained and coached over a thousand working executives in a variety of skill sets, and she is on track to help Singapore Pools employees upskill and reskill while earning industry certifications.

As an independent consultant since 2012, she has been involved in a broad spectrum of learning and development projects with both public and private sector organisations in Singapore and internationally. Since 2007, Cynthia has been actively involved in the training of trainers and consultants in the facilitation process and curriculum design skills. Besides training and development, she also work with organisations to develop their innovation capacity and coach individuals transitioning through their career and life changes.
