What Is The Session About?

Clowning Techniques for Engaging with Humor is a fun-filled workshop designed to explore the art of communication through the lens of clowning.

In the first half of the workshop, participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of clowning through playful exercises and improvisation games. You will be given opportunities to discover who your clown is, the power of celebrating our mistakes and failures in clowning, and what makes them funny.

In the second half of the workshop, participants will learn clowning principles of physical comedy, connecting with an audience, and elevating one’s stage presence. You will also get opportunities to practice your newfound skills in a final clown storytelling presentation.

No prior experience is necessary – just an open mind and a willingness to embrace the power of laughter. Come ready to laugh, learn, and leave with clowning tools to engage with humour! To prepare for the workshop, please dress comfortably with comfortable footwear and get ready to move. Also, bring a notebook and something to write with, as well as a bottle of water. This workshop is a physical one, so it's important to stay hydrated.
