What Is The Session About?
Education and training are increasingly taking place in Blended mode with Classroom and online learning. One of the challenges of online learning is that some of the benefits of face-to-face learning, such as interactivity and collaborative learning, could be lost, or play a lesser role in the educational experience.
A Nearpod Certified Educator uses the various features of Nearpod as a seamless instructional platform designed to enhance Blended Learning (BL) and/or Fully Online (FOL) delivery for both teachers and students. Aimed at increasing engagement, Nearpod provides an array of digital tools to assist in lesson planning, activity creation and resource management. From the student's perspective, it provides opportunities for interactive activities such as quizzes and polls, in addition to a variety of other engaging learning opportunities such as Virtual Field Trips and games customised to specific learning objectives.
This 7-hour programme covers all the requirements to be a Nearpod Certified Educator. Participants must therefore come with an original Nearpod Lesson created within the last 30 days, incoporating at least 3 Nearpod interactive media and at least 3 Nearpod learning activities to achieve a specific Learning Outcome. As a hands-on workshop, it gives participants the opportunity to review their created Nearpod Lesson before conducting the lesson, under the guidance of an experienced facilitator who is a Certified Nearpod Coach.
For those who wish to submit their application for the certification by the end of this workshop, please register and sign up for Nearpod webinar, and complete the webinar session before attending this workshop.
