Sijie Yu (Anne)
Data science professional, Purdue PhD student, and UC Berkeley alum skilled in adult education & research
Anne is a researcher and lecturer at DigiPen Institute of Technology in Singapore, with expertise in big data science and data analysis. Her career has spanned over two decades in Silicon Valley, California, where she has imparted her knowledge to tech companies such as Google, Amazon, eBay, and HP Research Labs. Anne possesses a master’s degree in data science from the University of California, Berkeley, and is currently enriching her knowledge further as a Ph.D. student in Technology at Purdue University.
Her research primarily focuses on data analysis in the fields of cryptocurrency and social science. She is a developer within the Apache and Hugging Face communities, contributing to these ecosystems. Her expertise and experience also make her a speaker at conferences for Apache Data Strata. She is passionately involved in educational initiatives, as a reviewer for academic journals and NCWIT Aspirations in Computing program for high-school and college girls in the USA.
