Shawn is a musician, academic, and edupreneur globally recognised for his innovative hand-drum methods that became the archetypical modern Djembe and Cajon styles commonly seen on China’s and Vietnam’s social media in the last decade. Shawn is on the adjunct faculty with LASALLE, National Institute of Education, and Republic Polytechnic. He developed NIE’s first E-Pedagogy module under Essentials of Learning & Teaching–a certification course for the Ministry of Education teachers and practising artist-teachers in Singapore. Shawn holds a MM in Education, a MSc in Digital Media, and an ACTA qualification.
