Rick Chong is a procurement specialist with more than 17 years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain. He has successfully led procurement operations, cost-saving initiatives, reorganisation projects, training and consultancy. For his work in the public sector, Rick was involved in the rewriting of the procurement policy and creating a holistic training program for procurement executives in the Singapore government. Amongst his projects in the private sector, his work with Singapore Airlines and A*STAR were the most outstanding. The former project resulted in a cost savings of a $1mil on raw materials, while the latter involved creating an e-system for the company, which increased efficiency and minimised costs. Rick is a SAP consultant, ACTA and MOE qualified trainer, and an associate trainer with Civil Service College, with a wealth of overseas training experience.
