As a consultant and trainer, Lee Kang Yam specialises in instructional design and career coaching in the IT, Finance and Public Service sectors. He has conducted training needs analysis projects, designed learning interventions, and developed training roadmaps and competency frameworks at the organisational and governmental levels. Kang Yam is a regional facilitator for Flawless Consulting and Career Coaching programmes. He also teaches the Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education programme at the Institute for Adult Learning. Kang Yam has also designed many training programmes to help organisations achieved address their performance and skills gaps. Before starting The Flame Centre, he worked at Civil Service College, Economic Development Board, and NCS.
