Beginning her social work career in 2001, Fern is a trainer, facilitator and consultant specialising in suicide prevention and intervention. She has practised in Samaritans of Singapore, Family Service Centre and Divorce Support Specialist Agency as a social worker, providing support to individuals and families with varied needs through casework, counselling and group programmes. Working alongside with persons with lived experience, volunteers and professionals, she believes that everyone can play a part in suicide prevention. Fern is an accredited social worker with SASW, holds a BSocSc (Second Upper Honours) from NUS, a GradDip in Counselling Practice from Counselling and Care Centre, Singapore and an ACLP qualification.
